Hello!
I’m Jennifer Smallridge, and I’m an exercise physiologist, academic lecturer and health writer.
In 2012 I graduated from a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science with distinction, and in 2014 I received my Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology. In 2018, I was a finalist for ESSA’s Exercise Physiologist of the Year.
Since graduating, I have undertaken further mentorship and development in the fields of mental health conditions, chronic pain, ME/CFS, POTS/OI, fibromyalgia and connective tissue disorders.
My dear friend Florence Kelly and I have also developed a professional development company in the chronic, invisible illness space - if you’re a health professional, check out Connection Medicine for more.
I’m a shameless research nerd and will happily go on a deep dive with clients to discover more about what might be going on.
My overarching vision is to uplift and enlighten.
I believe that consistent small changes can alter your physiology, and therefore your life.
I believe that the right words are powerful.
I believe that feeling heard and believed is healing.
I believe that there is still so much for us to learn.
